Where does the Segway Tour depart from and is there available parking?
Louisville Segway Tours depart from our Wheel Fun Rentals location at Waterfront Park under the Big Four Bridge (Red Lot) at the corner of Witherspoon and East River Road. Look for the large American flag at the entrance to the Red Lot! There is plenty of free parking nearby and we are easily accessible by public transportation.
How safe is it to ride a Segway?
Our experienced, and certified staff assure that you are fully trained and will make you feel comfortable and knowledgeable before your ride. We take you though a riding and safety video then teach you to ride the Segways before the tour departs. We don’t ride until everyone is comfortable! During the glide your Guide will have constant communication with you through headphones.
Who can ride a Segway?
Each rider must be at least 14 years of age, be a minimum of 48” tall and must weigh between 100 lbs. and 260 lbs. At least one adult must accompany any minor. We do not offer tours to those with balance issues, those who are pregnant, or anyone under the influence of alcohol.
What happens if it rains?
We evaluate the weather prior to every tour and reserve the right to delay or cancel a tour due to inclement weather with a full refund to you. If you chose not to go out, you can reschedule to another available tour.
Can I purchase a Segway from Segway Tours by Wheel Fun?

How fast do Segways go?
Depending on the tour, terrain and conditions, Segways can travel between 10-12 miles per hour.
Can I rent a Segway and go out by myself?
Louisville Segway Tours only offers guided tours.
Do I have to purchase tickets in advance?
Purchase of advanced tickets is strongly recommended, otherwise there is no way to guarantee tour availability. To maximize your chance of getting your desired day and time, please book well in advance as tours tend to fill up quickly. You can do this online or over the phone using any major credit card.
We limit each tour to 8 riders. If you have a larger group, please call (502) 938-RIDE (7433) or email LouisvilleSegwayTours@gmail.com. In order to keep a more intimate ratio, we can provide additional guides to larger groups for safety and glide enjoyment.
What do I need to bring?
Once you have booked your tour you will receive an e-mail confirmation. Please plan to arrive promptly at your tour time. Be sure to bring the required forms of identification, a valid Driver’s license, passport or State ID, along with at least one major credit card (preferably the one you used to book the tour).
A charge will be placed against your credit card, in conjunction with the damage waiver release, should any damage be sustained to the Segway you are riding. We recommend that you wear comfortable flat closed toe shoes. Each Segway is equipped with a small tour bag for essentials. We also recommend a bottle of water, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
What is the cancellation policy?
We offer a 100% refund if you cancel 48 hours in advance of your scheduled departure. Cancellations are handled by phone at (502) 938-RIDE (7433). All tours cancelled less than 48 hours in advance are subject to a cancellation fee. All tours canceled within 24 hours of scheduled departure are non-refundable. We offer rescheduling options. If you fail to notify us in advance when cancelling a tour for any reason, there is a 100% charge, with no option to reschedule.
Customers not wishing to take their scheduled tour because of rain or inclement weather are allowed to reschedule through a "Rain Check".
How do I use a coupon code or voucher number during booking?
If you have a coupon, VIP pass, or purchased a deal on a third party website you will need to do the following: #1) Click "Book Now" in the navigation bar and select your desired tour date and time. #2) Click "Redeem Gift Card /Promo Code" located to the right of "#1 Select Tickets." #3)Enter your coupon code or voucher number and click Apply. #4) Follow the booking wizard to complete your booking. NOTE: If you purchased a voucher, your voucher will only work for the specific tour type you purchased, so make sure you select the right tour. Also, when you select the number of tickets, make sure it matches the number of people your voucher is valid for.
Do I have to wear a helmet?
Yes, one will be provided to you free of charge.
Will there be stops along the way for Photos?
Yes, group stops will be scheduled along the way for photo opportunities.
Do you offer discounts for groups or otherwise make special arrangements?
It is wholly at the discretion of the guest whether to give the tour guide a gratuity.
Segway Tours by Wheel Fun Rentals will not sell, rent, swap, or otherwise disclose your registration data or e-mail information to any unaffiliated third party.
